The session opens with concert prayer by Galen Donnafield of Tennessee. Israel Luquin of Florida reads from 1 Timothy 2:1-4. The congregation worships God through song led by the England choir.

The session concludes with a message by Claudine Brown – “My House, the House of God, Which is the Church Shall be Called a House of Prayer.”

The opening session of the 118th General Assembly begins with remarks by the moderator, General Overseer Oscar Pimentel. The Bible and flag pledges are recited by the delegates, and Janet Talley leads congregational worship. Herman Ard delivers a sermonette and Josh Clawson preaches message on healing.

Saturday Morning

August 3, 2024 • Dewayne Smith

The final session of the General Assembly opens with concert prayer by Danny Gartman and scripture reading led by Francisco Ramirez. Janet Talley leads the congregation in worship. The Children’s Assembly Program is directed by Debra Wantulok along with her family and Jessica Cloyed. The service continues with a message entitled “The Church of God is Moving On” by Dewayne Smith. After the Assembly committees give their reports, the session concludes with the annual appointments by the General Overseer.
