Somewhere between the Black Friday sales and the football games and the decorating and the outfit figuring out and the baking and the schedule coordinating and the menu coordinating, and the in-laws have entered the chat, and the name drawings and the school concerts, and the dress up days, and the end of semester tests and projects– not to mention the gifting that nobody apparently remembers– I’m not surprised at all that sometimes we struggle to remember the real meaning of this season.
