Share Your Story | May 12, 2024 Service

May 12, 2024 • Kirk Cowman

Welcome to the St. Albert Alliance Church Digital Gathering! What is the first thing you do when you meet someone? When I meet someone for the first time, I begin to ask them questions: Where do you live? Where are you from? What do you do for a living? What do you like to do? Do you know…? I ask these questions because I want to learn about the person I’m talking to. I want to hear their story. Do you ask similar questions? Do you like to listen to stories? Join us as we continue our series, Everyday Rhythms, as we explore the power of stories and discover that you bless people when you share your story. Serve with Love | May 5, 2024 Sermon

May 5, 2024 • Josh Ginn

As you think about the people who Jesus has called you to go and BLESS, what does it mean to serve them with love? Often, we’re really good at serving people in one particular way or in a way that we love to be served. To serve with love is to serve people at their point of need. Join us as we discuss what it means to serve with love, discern the point of need of the people around us, and begin to love them well. Missed a sermon? Listen with Care | April 21, 2024 Sermon

April 21, 2024 • Kirk Cowman

Someone once said, “Being heard is so close to being loved that for the average person, they are almost indistinguishable.” I think the person who spoke those words learned what Jesus knew a long time ago and modelled so well in the Gospels: when you listen, you care. Jesus listened to a man who would only speak to him under the cover of darkness (John 3). Jesus listened to a woman at a well in the middle of nowhere (John 4). Jesus listened to two grieving sisters before he did anything (John 11). Jesus listened because he knew that the simple act of listening was a blessing. Because when we listen, we show we care. Join us as we explore the second practice of our Everyday Rhythms, the “L” practice in the word BLESS, and discover what happens when we listen.   Missed a sermon? Begin with Prayer | April 14, 2024 Sermon

April 14, 2024 • Lisa Peters

When we think about how to most effectively support, encourage, or bless someone, we often think of things we can do for them directly, but what if one of the most significant things we could do to bless someone else came through more indirect means? Join us as we continue in our Everyday Rhythms Series and look at how beginning with prayer is the most significant thing we can do as we seek to bless someone.  Missed a sermon? Meant to Bless | April 7, 2024 Sermon

April 7, 2024 • Kirk Cowman

Many of us have a rhythm to our day, a set of activities and an order of things we do every day - from brushing our teeth or having that first cup of coffee to watching Jimmy Fallon or reading a book before we fall asleep. We all have things we do every day; we all have a rhythm to our day. This weekend, we are starting a new series, Everyday Rhythms, and we’ll be exploring 5 simple changes you can make to your everyday rhythms that will bless the people around you and help them encounter Jesus. Join us on Sunday as Pastor Kirk kicks off our series by looking at Genesis 12:1-3, a passage that holds a promise and a purpose given a long time ago that still applies to us today.  Missed a sermon?
