35-Romans: Preachers Needed

Last week, we discussed Paul’s desire for his Jewish brothers to come to a saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He once again affirmed that attempts to work one's way into God’s good grace by keeping the law would never succeed, that it was only through confessing and believing in the Lord Jesus Christ that one might be saved, regardless of the biological lineage one may possess. No matter how much you think, you might be right before God in human terms.

Last week, we were introduced to the concept of "doubtful things," which should not be the cause of separation and judging of one believer over another. Paul specifically addressed meat that had been deemed unclean for some reason. This could have been because it had been sacrificed to a false God or was unclean according to Jewish dietary laws. This week, Paul deals with days and circles back to food as we look at "More About Doubtful Things."
