40-Romans

Though Many, One

November 5, 2023 • Pastor Christopher Thompson • Romans 12:3–8

Last week, we entered Romans 12 with these powerful verses:

I beseech you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. -Romans 12:1-2

We continue this week with verses 3-8. We will see that though we are many in Christ, we are one.

December 17, 2023 • Pastor Christopher Thompson • Romans 14:5–23

Last week, we were introduced to the concept of "doubtful things," which should not be the cause of separation and judging of one believer over another. Paul specifically addressed meat that had been deemed unclean for some reason. This could have been because it had been sacrificed to a false God or was unclean according to Jewish dietary laws. This week, Paul deals with days and circles back to food as we look at "More About Doubtful Things."
