Owe only love

Last week, the Apostle Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit, told his audience, as well as us, that we need to submit to the governing authorities and pay our taxes; this week, he is going to further upset the apple cart by declaring that we should “Owe Only Love.”

Last week, we were introduced to the concept of "doubtful things," which should not be the cause of separation and judging of one believer over another. Paul specifically addressed meat that had been deemed unclean for some reason. This could have been because it had been sacrificed to a false God or was unclean according to Jewish dietary laws. This week, Paul deals with days and circles back to food as we look at "More About Doubtful Things."
