Week 3: Jesus Commission

This is our lifelong mandate from the Lord Jesus Himself. The King of all kings has called us as His believers into His service, and our duty is to go into all the world and proclaim the good news of His salvation to all who will believe in Him, to baptize them in water, and then teach them to carry out this mandate as well.

People are hurting and often times desperate. In the last few years, things have become increasingly worse with addiction, bondage, perversion, and suicide on the rise like never before. People need to know that Jesus is the answer to all that and more. Many Christians today are living as though Jesus hasn’t said certain things (e.g., that He is coming soon, or that we are to make disciples of every nation and preach the gospel to every creature). The time is short, the harvest is great, and yet many Christians are still just living for themselves, ignoring the call of God on our lives to reach the lost. 3 | The Power of the Gospel

These are not the days to be timid about our faith or to be ashamed of God’s Word. We have the life-saving knowledge of Jesus Christ that the lost and dying world desperately needs to hear, for the gospel alone is the power of God for salvation to those who believe, and we cannot be afraid to proclaim it!
