This Week’s Lesson: “Walking Through The Valley”
Sheep are easily frightened. It doesn’t take much to spook a sheep and make it run away. Sheep are no different than you and me. Sometimes fear can grip us and not let go very easily.
Life has ups and downs. When times are good, it seems like we are high on the mountain top. When times are bad, it seems like we are walking through the valley.
When a shepherd leads the sheep through a dark valley, they can get a little scared. The 23rd Psalm says that we don’t have to be scared, even when we go through the darkest valley. Why? Because God, is right there with us.
In today’s lesson, your kids will learn through the story of Gideon that we don’t have to fear when we go through tough time. No matter how dark the valley is, we can know that we are NEVER alone. God is always with us.
Power Verse: “Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.” - Psalm 23:4
