Walking Through The Valley
November 30, 2024 • Ashton Kohler • Psalm 23
This Week’s Lesson: “Walking Through The Valley”
Sheep are easily frightened. It doesn’t take much to spook a sheep and make it run away. Sheep are no different than you and me. Sometimes fear can grip us and not let go very easily.
Life has ups and downs. When times are good, it seems like we are high on the mountain top. When times are bad, it seems like we are walking through the valley.
When a shepherd leads the sheep through a dark valley, they can get a little scared. The 23rd Psalm says that we don’t have to be scared, even when we go through the darkest valley. Why? Because God, is right there with us.
In today’s lesson, your kids will learn through the story of Gideon that we don’t have to fear when we go through tough time. No matter how dark the valley is, we can know that we are NEVER alone. God is always with us.
Power Verse: “Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.” - Psalm 23:4
Whatchagaddaknow: “I Have No Fear, 'Cause God Is Near!”

New Strength
November 23, 2024 • Pastor Tyler Loy • Psalm 23
Ever felt tired? I mean, you have gone through so much and you have dealt with so many things that you just feel totally weak?
Kids deal with a lot of things that can make them tired and weary as well - Sickness, hurt, stress, and more. God cares for them and takes care of them just like a Shepherd takes care of his sheep. Psalm 23:3 says that God will “renew my strength” when I am feeling weak. When we feel weak, God makes us strong.
In this lesson, your kids will learn that in our weakest moments, our Good Shepherd shows up and renews our strength. His strength is perfect! His strength gives us all we need to get up and walk down the path He has planned for us.
Power Verse: “He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name.” - Psalm 23:3
Whatchagaddaknow: “When I Am Weak, God Makes Me Strong!”

The Good Shepherd
November 9, 2024 • Pastor Tyler Loy • Psalm 23, Matthew 11:28
This weekend, we begin a new series: "Livin' The Sheep Life." We will be walking through Psalm 23, verse by verse, and encouraging everyone to memorize the chapter. Today, we begin with verse one...
When God decided to choose an animal to represent human beings, He chose a sheep. The reason He chose a sheep is because sheep are helpless animals. They can’t take care of themselves and by themselves they will just wander and be lost.
Sheep need a shepherd. Shepherds care for the sheep, lead them to green pastures, and care for their every need. Just like sheep need a shepherd, we need God to lead and guide us throughout this life.
In this lesson, the children will learn that God wants to be our Good Shepherd. He wants to lead us into the life He has planned for us. If we will follow Him, He will lead us into great things. We must choose to follow Him. The Good Shepherd won’t force us, but, if we choose to follow, we will never be disappointed.
Power Verse: “The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need.” Psalm 23:1
Whatchagaddaknow: “ The Lord Is My Shepherd, So I Will Follow Him!”
