Why Good Friday

Luke 23:33-43

April 19, 2019 • Charles Rowdon

Good Friday appears to be an oxymoron because on that day Jesus was arrested, beaten, and killed. It is only good when viewed from God’s perspective.

• Jesus’ Power: The power Jesus displayed on the cross was a miracle like none other, one predestined since the foundation of the world. He died for us.

• Jesus’ Grace: Two condemned criminals died next to Jesus, one received condemnation and the other grace.

• Jesus’ Victory: The victory we have in our lives is a direct result of Jesus’ victory over sin and death. Because of Him, we have life and purpose.

The Freedom of Surrender

June 30, 2019 • Collin Monger

The United States was built upon principles of freedom. However, many have taken this to mean we are free from moral responsibility and consequences of our actions. As believers we are free from the bondage of sin and death. We have a responsibility to exercise self-control in the decisions we make and remain focused on God in our freedom.
