Psalm 51 is a chapter that unpacks the heart of David’s response toward his sin. Although David was king, he made some pretty bad decisions, and his decisions led to bad consequences. However, Psalm 51 shows us that in the wreckage of his sin, God continued to forgive. When we repent, God forgives. Repentance and forgiveness are a part of God’s grace working in us. Let’s lean in to see what genuine repentance really looks like.

Psalm 63 is just that, a Psalm where David pours out his heart to God. The contrast of being in a wilderness and drawing near to God is powerful. It communicates what David values most.
