2023 will soon be a closed book—deposited on the shelf of time; it will not be taken down again until God opens the volumes of the ages for His final review and judgment. There is nothing we can do about 2023, but we can decide to make some alterations going into 2024. Today’s passage reveals that no matter what the new year brings, we must choose to live wisely. There are four characteristics of living wisely in 2024.

1. Be careful how you walk, v. 15.

2. Make the most of your time, v. 16.

3. Know God’s will for your life, v. 17.

4. Be controlled by the Spirit, v. 18.

The important issue is NOT what 2024 will bring upon you. The crucial issue is what you will bring into 2024.
