In Judges 13 & 14, we see Samson as God's called Judge. From his birth, he is set apart by a vow, but soon becomes chained to his own passions and desires which lead to a great downfall.
In Judges 17 & 18, we see the continued spiritual decline of the people of God because they have no King, no ears to hear the Word of the Lord, no heart for God, and only misguided glory-seeking.
