You have many important, God-given desires and drives. Hunger causes you to eat; thirst causes you to drink. This is all good. When you overindulge in these things, you can find yourself dealing with sins like gluttony, drunkenness, slothfulness, and sexual immorality. What was once a good, healthy desire becomes tainted.
