Even though God is the giver of the capabilities that we have, He wants to partner with us in our endeavors. Are we doing that?

PRAYER POINT

“Dear God, please humble me and allow me to understand what a childlike humility and dependence on You should look like in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

GOING DEEPER

Read and study Matthew 18:3-4 and 2 Corinthians 12:9.

WALK IT OUT

Let’s be real with ourselves and ask ourselves if it ever feels like we advance forward before calling upon Jesus and asking Him to influence our pursuit of anything in life.

SHARE WITH OTHERS

You can verbally encourage people towards relying on God as their source, but when they see the fruit of it in your life as you live it out, they will be impacted.

Ep. 415 - Silence ≠ Rejection

MINISTRY MOMENT Have you ever experienced silence in your relationship with God? What did you believe that to be? Do you allow your silent moments to be intentional? Why or why not? PRAYER POINT “Father, through all of the silence, I trust You! You are kind and patient, more than anyone I know. I ask that You bring comfort to me. Speak to me, even in the midst of silence. Thank You, Lord! Amen!” GOING DEEPER Read and study Psalms 22. WALK IT OUT Allow yourself to reflect during your silent times. Why is God being silent? What can I learn from His character? SHARE WITH OTHERS Encourage others with the same! Our God is patient and in no rush to make decisions! Allow His silence to minister to your heart!

Ep. 414 - Don't Take it Back

December 16, 2024 • Proverbs 3:5–6, Isaiah 41:10, Jeremiah 17:7–8

MINISTRY MOMENT What is emotionally weighing you down right now? What has you “trying to fix it” and unable to - all at the same time? There’s a great chance that you’re carrying something that you were never supposed to. PRAYER POINT “Jesus, I give You my burdens. I give You the weight I’m carrying that I know I was never meant to. I lay it at Your feet, and I’m not gonna pick it up again. It’s Yours. I trust You with the outcome.” GOING DEEPER Read and study Proverbs 3:5-6, Isaiah 41:10, and Jeremiah 17:7-8. WALK IT OUT Give yourself a daily assessment with your thoughts. What are your thoughts focusing on? What are the taxes you’re emotionally/mentally paying and are they ones you were meant to pay? Be willing to honestly audit yourself, and hand off the ones you aren’t meant to pay. SHARE WITH OTHERS Invite your closest confidant (spouse would be great) and be willing to “audit” one another on how - and what - you are carrying.

December 14, 2024 • Psalm 143:5, Deuteronomy 4:9

MINISTRY MOMENT What do you tend to remember and what do you forget? If you remember the hurts and traumas that have happened to you (the guilt and shame of your sin), but forget the many ways God has blessed and delivered you, make a choice to switch what you remember and forget! Remember that Jesus paid the price for your sin. Receive His forgiveness and forget the guilt and shame. Remember how He has healed you of trauma in the past and trust Him to bring you through our current and future trials. PRAYER POINT “Father, thank You for all the many ways You have blessed me in the past. Please help me to remember Your faithfulness, so that I can trust You no matter what the future holds. In Jesus’ name, Amen.” GOING DEEPER Read and study Psalm 143:5 and Deuteronomy 4:9. Search for other scriptures that encourage us to remember. WALK IT OUT Pay attention to what you remember. When you find yourself remembering things that you should forget, choose to refocus on God and remember all of the wonderful things He has done for you! Use what you remember to fuel your faith and how you live your life going forward! SHARE WITH OTHERS As the year comes to a close, share with your friends the many ways that God has blessed you this year, and how you are going to use those memories to grow your faith as you walk into the new year!
