As we make our opinions and actions known via social media, inevitably someone will become offended at what they see and execute a snap judgment, one usually based on generalizations that lack context. Yeshua spoke to us in the Sermon On The Mount that this kind of judgmental behavior was not only counterproductive but dangerous! He warned us that the self-righteousness that we indulge in by judging others is a form of spiritual blindness that will eventually ruin our faith. God wants us to be free of the bondage that being hyper-critical brings! By allowing Him to examine our motives BEFORE we execute judgment we can create a “safe-space” where healing and restoration will occur for those who are far from God and for ourselves as well.
