Sojourners' Life

October 3, 2021 • Psalm 39:12, 1 Peter 2:11, 1 Samuel

God asked Abraham to leave it all behind and dwell in a hostile foreign land of which he knew nothing and where he knew no one. He had to learn to live in tents instead of houses, adapt to a pastoral life of a shepherd instead of the cosmopolitan life in Haran, and develop new allies instead of the natural security of his family. God invited Abraham to be a sojourner who walked by faith and not by the traditions and culture in which he was raised. And so it has been for all those who follow in the faith of Abraham.

Together, let's discover secrets from the lives of the patriarchs on how to thrive in the midst of massive social, economic and political change in this new series, "Sojourners".
