Israelites have just experienced the greatest physical miracle yet recorded in the Bible, the parting of the Red Sea. The sense of the relief must have been incredible as the Israelites began to sing and dance unto the Lord in celebration. This is the first mention of songs of praise in the Bible and it's packed with insight we need for the days ahead. Our sense of security is an emotional issue. We could be in a secure home with an alarm system and not feel safe or we could be camping out in the middle of the woods and feel totally secure. Things happen that can quickly turn our perception of a home or a job or a community from secure to totally insecure. God will lead us into a supernatural sense of security when we look to him in our sojourning.
