Sheep Without a Shepherd

Gospel of Mark - Part 14

July 30, 2023 • Chris Heller • Mark 6:30–44, Psalm 23, John 10:11–18, John 10:27

Last week, we watched a root of bitterness lead to the murder of John the Baptist. This week, weary from the relentless crowds and grieving the death of John the Baptist, Jesus and his disciples try to go into seclusion to rest. But the crowds keep coming. Though exhausted, he doesn’t look away . . . he looks on them, and does so with compassion.

Why? He saw them as “sheep without a shepherd.” Join us this Sunday as we learn about the Good Shepherd!
