This Sunday, in Exodus 3, we will encounter God at the burning bush.
We will hope to leave changed--like Moses was--knowing the God who hears the pleas of his people and is mighty to save.

The Bible is a story that leads us to Jesus Christ. Even though we are only in the first week of our readings, there have already been significant developments in the storyline of Scripture, including the creation, humanity’s fall into sin, judgment, and the promise of redemption. To Cut a Covenant

Covenants are counter-intuitive in our society. Traditional marriage vows sound wild to our modern ears. Do couples really mean, “for better or worse, for richer or poor, in joy and in sorrow”?! We live in a culture full of convenient agreements, compared to binding relationships. When peoples’ perceived agreement is broken, or too hard, they often will try and get out of their contract. This Sunday we will continue our Bible in a Year sermon series and study the biblical treasure of a covenant - looking at God’s covenant with Abraham in Genesis 15 & 17.
