Paul’s Thesis - Justified through Faith in Jesus Christ

May 15, 2022 • Rev. Josh Hahne • Galatians 2:15–21

This Sunday we take up the magisterial doctrine of justification. It was the thesis of Paul’s letter to the churches in Galatia and continues to address a question in the heart of every human—how can sinful people be right before God?

Invite a friend, join us for worship, and together we’ll consider God’s grace.

The Gospel of Christ

April 24, 2022 • Rev. Josh Hahne • Galatians 1:1–10

“Paul is breathing fire. His zeal is so fervent that he almost begins to curse the angels themselves.” These are the words Martin Luther used to describe the beginning of Paul’s letter to the churches of Galatia. His letter addresses gospel issues, truths that are vital importance for the church in every place and time. Join us this Sunday for our new sermon series in Galatians. Pastor Josh

Easter 2022 - Raised for our Justification

April 17, 2022 • Rev. Josh Hahne • Matthew 28:1–10, Romans 4:23–25

You’ve heard the accounts of what happened on the first Easter, but do you know why Jesus was raised from the dead? In Romans chapter four the Apostle Paul makes a thought-provoking statement: “[Jesus] was raised for our justification.” On Sunday we’ll consider these words together and hope to grow in our appreciation of the significance of the resurrection for the people of God. Not from Man, but through Jesus Christ

May 1, 2022 • Rev. Josh Hahne • Acts 8:1–3, Acts 9:1–19, Galatians 1:11–24, Galatians 2:1–14

This week we’ll be considering Paul’s conversion experience in which the risen Christ appeared to him and commissioned him to bring the gospel to the Gentiles. This event, along with the church planting ministry and subsequent letters to these churches (which make up approximately 30% of the New Testament), dramatically changed history. No wonder the Apostle Paul appealed to his unique calling when his credentials were attacked by the false teachers in Galatia. Join us this Lord’s Day and we’ll continue in our studies of Galatians!
