This Sunday we continue our series in Galatians by considering the fifth chapter of Paul’s letter. It is a section where the Apostle is exasperated by the Judaizers’ false teaching. To those who distort the gospel, Paul makes some of his most strident remarks. He also provides the church with a pastoral maxim, which is as useful for the Christian life today as it was then.

Not from Man, but through Jesus Christ

This week we’ll be considering Paul’s conversion experience in which the risen Christ appeared to him and commissioned him to bring the gospel to the Gentiles. This event, along with the church planting ministry and subsequent letters to these churches (which make up approximately 30% of the New Testament), dramatically changed history. No wonder the Apostle Paul appealed to his unique calling when his credentials were attacked by the false teachers in Galatia. Join us this Lord’s Day and we’ll continue in our studies of Galatians!
