3. The Wound
March 1, 2021 • John Eldredge, Pablo Ceron • Psalm 109:21–22, Isaiah 61:1
Every man carries a wound—and every wound needs healing. In this foundational session, John Eldredge unpacks how the wounds we received, especially in our youth, shape the lies we believe about ourselves and how we live as men.
Whether it’s the absence of a father, words that cut deep, or failures we can’t seem to shake, these unhealed wounds become the source of shame, fear, and striving. They lead us to make agreements that define our identity in false ways. But there is hope—Jesus is after our healing, and He wants to take us there if we’ll let Him.
In this session, you’ll be invited to name your wound, break the agreements you’ve made with it, and begin the healing journey with God. Designed for men’s groups, small group study, or personal discipleship, this conversation is raw, honest, and deeply freeing.
