9/4 Orphans & Widows: What can we do?

Today we hear about the ministry of Bend Biomedical and how they are working to provide medicine for impoverished children. James tells us that caring for widows and orphans is part of a pure and undefiled religion. Why is this so important? Could it have something to do with the God who loves us?
