Seek The Kingdom First - Part 1

Anxiety and fear are the biggest issues that the world faces today but if we as believers “Seek The Kingdom First” then we will overcome any challenges that await us. Philippians 4:6 says “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”

Senior Pastor Travis Tullis explains through scriptures Matthew 6:25-34, that we must seek the Kingdom of God first by putting our trust in God for all our necessities.

In times of uncertainty, people might become overwhelmed with the many concerns and challenges they face. But if we seek God’s Kingdom first, then all things will be added to us, and that means we will have everything we need.

Jesus urges us in Matthew 6:25-34 to recognize how the birds and the lilies are an illustration of the beauty of God's work. He makes it known that the lily doesn't even have to work to be beautiful, and yet it surpasses even King Solomon's splendor. This is a vital reminder that the beauty of God's creation is beyond man’s greatest accomplishments on this earth.

God values us more than we realize, so much so that He gave us His only begotten son so that we can have everlasting life if we would only believe on Him and trust in him. This means we don’t have to operate in a spirit of fear.

When we seek the Kingdom of God first, we can experience the peace and joy that Jesus promised us. By operating in faith and seeking God's Kingdom first we can receive the abundant life that God wants to give us.

Prioritizing God in every situation of our lives, whether it's relationships, finances, or work, allows us to put everything in order and prevents us from wasting time. When we think about putting God first, we should ask these questions: What is first in our lives, where do we spend our time and money? Senior Pastor Travis Tullis shows us through scriptures Haggai 1:1-5, that if the children of Israel would have put God first when it was time to rebuild the temple, time would not have been wasted; God advised them to reconsider their ways. The time God gives to us is precious, and we should invest in it wisely by seeking God's will first before we consider our own thoughts. Jesus said that if we seek the Kingdom first, all the things we need will be added unto us. It's a matter of being disciplined in the teachings of Jesus Christ and getting our priorities right. When we put God’s Kingdom first then we will receive God’s gifts of peace, joy, and power, which are blessings from God that nobody can take away from us. God gives us His gifts without repentance. By seeking God's Kingdom first, we position ourselves to discern truth from lies and light from darkness. In this atmosphere, there is no need to compare ourselves to others because there is room for all gifts and talents in God's Kingdom. Seek The Kingdom First - Part 3 (What are his benefits?)

The benefits of seeking God’s Kingdom first will give us sufficiency, deliverance from anxiety and fear, strength through grace, access to spiritual blessings, and rewards for our diligence. Senior Pastor Travis Tullis continues to remind us through scriptures Haggai 1:1-7, 2 Corinthians 12:9, Hebrews 11:6, and Psalms 105:4, that we can find strength and abundance by seeking God’s Kingdom first. When we put God’s Kingdom first, we can experience peace of mind, financial, spiritual, and generational blessings. When we focus on seeking God first, we can walk in confidence, knowing that all our battles belong to Him. Therefore, we must press towards the Kingdom of God with a fervent faith. Even in our weakest moments, we can still find the power to obey God through His grace. By seeking God's Kingdom first, we can trust that God’s strength will be more than enough to sustain us. When we're at our weakest moment we can still prevail because God’s grace is sufficient because through Him, we are made strong.
