Prioritizing God in every situation of our lives, whether it's relationships, finances, or work, allows us to put everything in order and prevents us from wasting time. When we think about putting God first, we should ask these questions: What is first in our lives, where do we spend our time and money?
Senior Pastor Travis Tullis shows us through scriptures Haggai 1:1-5, that if the children of Israel would have put God first when it was time to rebuild the temple, time would not have been wasted; God advised them to reconsider their ways.
The time God gives to us is precious, and we should invest in it wisely by seeking God's will first before we consider our own thoughts. Jesus said that if we seek the Kingdom first, all the things we need will be added unto us. It's a matter of being disciplined in the teachings of Jesus Christ and getting our priorities right.
When we put God’s Kingdom first then we will receive God’s gifts of peace, joy, and power, which are blessings from God that nobody can take away from us. God gives us His gifts without repentance.
By seeking God's Kingdom first, we position ourselves to discern truth from lies and light from darkness. In this atmosphere, there is no need to compare ourselves to others because there is room for all gifts and talents in God's Kingdom.
Thank you, Senior Pastor Tullis, for leading us to go forward and higher together by knowing that we must put God’s Kingdom first to find true success.
