Will You Make The Comeback

The Greatest Comeback

Coming Back to the Lord

April 3, 2022 • John Anderson • Genesis 32:24–32

Jacob teaches us that we can’t run from our problems - they will still be with us. Finally, after a wrestling match with God’s angel, he came to the end of himself. It’s far better to limp with the blessing of God than to run outside the will and blessing of God!

Coming Back to Depending on God

March 27, 2022 • John Anderson • Daniel 2:1–18

King Nebuchadnezzar’s horrible dream could not be interpreted by all the wise men of the land, but a teenaged boy name Daniel proved to have more wisdom and insight than them all. He depended on the wisdom from above, the wisdom only given by Almighty God! The advice from James 1:5 is still good for today: “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally . . . and it shall be given him."

Coming Back to Sharing the Good News

March 13, 2022 • John Anderson • 2 Kings 6:24—7:20

God’s church is like the four leprous men of Israel found in this story of scripture: we have the good news that the world needs to hear, and we dare not keep it to ourselves!

Who's Your One?

March 6, 2022 • John Anderson • Acts 8:26–40

God loves each individual and will go to great lengths to make sure that ONE has an opportunity to hear the gospel and be saved. His plan has never changed: He still uses the Spirit of God, the Word of God and a witness for God to evangelize the lost. Who is your one?

You Can Comeback When There’s Nothing Left

February 20, 2022 • John Anderson • Ruth 1:1–7

Our decisions to pursue personal comfort and the easy path always end up costing us. Noami had lost everything, but God had not forgotten His people. She came back home with her daughter-in-law Ruth and God set in motion the events that would have Ruth be in the lineage of Christ!

You Can Comeback After a Fallout

February 13, 2022 • John Anderson • Philemon

The Apostle Paul teaches us a lesson in forgiveness with the story of a runaway slave. The fact that we have been forgiven of so much by our Heavenly Father demands that we forgive one another “for Christ’s sake.”

You Can Come Back after a Burnout

January 31, 2022 • John Anderson • 1 Kings 19, Psalm 42

Elijah, the heroic prophet of God, is found hiding from Jezebel, wishing to die. How does a servant of God get so discouraged and burned out? It’s amazing what the refreshing presence of God can do to put us back on the path of effectiveness and bearing fruit for Him!

You Can Comeback After A Blowout

January 23, 2022 • John Anderson • 2 Samuel 11

Getting away from the Lord usually doesn’t begin with a big blowout. It usually starts with a small leak. King David of Israel had a major blowout in his life, and we’ll learn how he was restored to a right relationship to God and his fellow man.
