God is the author of all authority. Every word from God establishes His rule and authority over His creation. In order for God to establish His authority, rules, laws and covenants, He must make a sovereign proclamation to His people. The King of Heaven has sent His proclamation of the Kingdom through His Son Jesus Christ and subsequent ambassadors through His church in all generations. We are the successors to this great commission called to be ambassadors who rise and proclaim the message from our King! The gospel is His message!

Walking close to God means living a life of service. No matter our social status, background, upbringing, failures, or successes it is our life of service to others that will be prized in the life to come. Throughout the Bible we see many great examples of servants to God. Abraham, Joseph, Moses, Jesus, Mary, Paul, Steven. All these exemplified Christ in their humanity and took their place in the grand story of God. A Servant Spirit is the Spirit of Christ and is less taught and more caught. Today let us learn and receive the mindset of Heaven which is the “Servant Spirit.”

Last week we proclaimed the gospel and identified the parameters of the real gospel. We did this to encourage the Church to stand and proclaim the greatest message of all time. Today let us understand how our adversary works to rob the truth from people when we preach it so that we can help the seed of God’s truth to bloom in our own lives and in the lives of those we are trying to reach with the good news.
