Israel, the Church and the Nations

September 25, 2021

Why is it important to pray for Jerusalem and the peace of Israel? Pastor Allen Jackson explains the unique roles that Israel, the Church, and the nations play in establishing God’s Kingdom on the Earth. God created an everlasting covenant with the Jewish people, promising blessings to those who support Israel, and curses to those who come against it. Pastor Allen uses scripture to explain why it’s in our best interest to intentionally love, pray, and care for Israel, Jerusalem, and the Jewish people—and offers tools to help us get started.

Freedom From Worry - Listening to Jesus

In his four-part series, "Freedom Fom Worry," Pastor Allen addresses the topic of worry and its effects on our lives. In Matthew 6 - 25-34, Jesus tells us four times not to worry. Worry was as much a part of people's lives in Jesus' time as it is today. Yet, Jesus is still commanding us to not worry, but to trust in the Lord. In a time when worry, anxiety and fear are epidemic in our society, Pastor Allen stresses the fact that worry is a sin that will, in time, erode God's best or our lives. Worry and faith are directly related. Giving in to our worries causes us to believe what WE think, feel and believe over what God says, thinks, and has for us. This makes a god out of ourselves and strangles our faith, leaving us weak and unable to stand. Thankfully, Pastor Allen reassures us that if Jesus tells us not to do something, He has also given us the power not do it. That power comes in our ability to have a greater awareness of eternity. By embraing the gift of the Holy Spirit, we can have the power, love, and peace of mind that God provides for us. This transfer of trust that must take place in order for us to gain freedom from worry can only occur through time spent daily with the Lord, forgivenes of others, letting go of our past failures, and allowing ourselves to dream.

God is Moving - Men, Women & Angels

Just as God has specific assignments for angels, he has unique tasks for us to accomplish. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses the fact that God is moving in a way that’s more pronounced than at any other time in our lives. Will we sit on the sidelines, or will we choose to engage in His purposes and offer our lives, our time, and our talents to further His Kingdom? Many people in the Bible felt unqualified for their God-assignments, and Pastor Allen examines some of their responses to show these people were a lot like us—insecure, doubtful, and resistant to new ideas. But God works in the earth through imperfect people who are willing to follow Him. If we choose to live godly lives and spread His light and truth, He will come alongside us and multiply our efforts.

God is Moving - Judgement and Deliverance

Do you know how to recognize when God is moving? In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses the many ways God is making His presence known across the world in this season. The best way to secure our future is to align ourselves with God and His will. If we do, we’ll be able to recognize God’s movement and participate in it, bringing more people into His Kingdom. Times of harvest can be disruptive—the field looks different at the end of the harvest than it does at the beginning. It's time to embrace this disruption, abandon what’s easy and comfortable, and decide to follow God in a new way.

Freedom From Worry - An Opportunity

In his four-part series, "Freedom From Worry," Pastor Allen addresses the topic of worry and its effects on our lives. In Matthew 6:25-34, Jesus tells us four times not to worry. Worry was as much a part of people's lives in Jesus' time as it is today. Yet, Jesus is still commanding us to not worry, but to trust in the Lord. Easter, The Cast of Characters

Many of us know the Easter story and the people involved with Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. But in this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson digs deeper, showing how many unlikely characters recognized Jesus as their Lord, while others surprisingly withdrew from the arena. It’s helpful to examine the people in the Easter story because God is still calling a people to Himself—a people who will believe in Him and acknowledge the truth about Jesus of Nazareth. The resurrection is just one example of God moving in the earth with “a mighty hand and an outstretched arm.” In times of shaking, God intervenes for His people with His power and might. Our generation desperately needs expressions of the power of God, and that recognition, desire, and expectation begins in the hearts of His people—you and me.

Freedom Through the Cross

In times of uncertainty or stress, being firmly grounded in the fundamentals makes a difference. Pastor Allen Jackson reminds us of three things that will bring stability to our lives in every season: understanding the significance of the cross of Jesus Christ; believing that God’s truth is real, unchanging, and essential for a healthy life; and being a person of praise.

Learning to Overcome - Defeating Discouragement

Overcoming is not optional for living a successful life as a Christ-follower—it’s necessary. Pastor Allen reminds us that strength and courage are vital for a person of faith. We have access to all the strength and courage we need because our God is able. He’s the Creator of all things, who watches over the paths of nations and intervenes in human history. He doesn’t wring His hands in despair. Christ in us makes a difference—because our God is able!

All Things New - Every Perfect Gift

The creative expressions of God did not end in the early chapters of Genesis. In fact, His greatest creativity is ahead of us. As Jesus-followers, we have a new name, a new hope, a new family, a new purpose, and a new Helper in the Holy Spirit. He has promised to make all things new in eternity—a new world and world order that will be wonderful beyond our imagination.

All Things New - Transition of Power

Planet earth is not going to continue on as is, uninterrupted, forever. There’s a new beginning ahead of us, and it will be preceded by a conclusion, when Jesus returns. Until that day, we don’t have to live in fear of the passing away of this world’s system. If you’ve trusted Jesus of Nazareth as Lord of your life, something far better is ahead for you!

Clarify Your Identity - Authority in The Heavens

Through the Holy Spirit’s power, Jesus was raised from a tomb and was seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty, Lord of all. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson explains the significance of who we are in Christ and the power and authority available to us as His disciples. Through our faith in Christ, we become the seed of Abraham and an heir to God’s promises to the Jewish people. Through Christ, we have access to God’s throne. The same spiritual power that raised Jesus from the dead will work on our behalf today as we move forward in God’s purposes. Let’s identify ourselves with Jesus and use the authority He has given us to take His truth, hope, and healing into our culture.

Clarify Your Identity - Secure in An Insecure World

Our futures aren’t secured by the routines of our lives, but by Almighty God and our relationship with Jesus. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson reminds us of the Source of our true security and the authority God has given us through Christ. As Christ-followers, we belong to Jesus, and if we can settle this in our hearts, it changes how we approach everything. Life promises to bring instability and unexpected events. Knowing and embracing who we are in Christ will establish a firm foundation that will sustain us through any storm.

All Things New - Jesus is Lord

The most binding word in all of Scripture for an agreement is “covenant.” When Jesus established a new covenant between God and man through the shedding of His blood, He changed the potential for every aspect of our lives—emotionally, physically, spiritually, and materially. Pastor Allen Jackson reminds us that God continues to make all things new.

Clarify Your Identity - Followers of Jesus

If you were asked to explain who you are, how would you begin? In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses our identity in Christ. Who we say Jesus is defines our lives, both in time and eternity. Being a Christ-follower goes beyond attending church on Sundays. It means you have made Jesus Lord of your life, and you are willing to submit to Him, follow Him, and allow Him to grow your faith. Pastor Allen examines the challenges the early Church faced in the book of Acts and how their responses directly impacted the momentum of their faith. In a similar way, how we respond to adversity and opposition today will either strengthen or diminish our faith and our relationship with God.
