Today we return to the same diner, and we join two more friends as one tries to make sense out of life and hard times. Sometimes we feel like the world is falling apart and that we are all alone, and even God isn’t with us—but as we learn from, of all people, our waitress, that God is with us through it all even if we have lost love, and even if we don’t recognize God.
