Joshua: He Speaks, We Move - Week 5 - The Power of Remembrance

May 28, 2023 • Adam Bright • Joshua 4:1–7

Why is it so important to remember the things God has done in our lives? This week, Adam Bright continued the story of Joshua. In chapter 4, God instructed the Israelites to make a memorial of stones to remember how He miraculously parted the Jordan River. Forgetfulness is a great enemy of faith. As followers of Jesus, we remember what God has done for us at the cross, and it empowers us to step confidently into the future He has for our own lives, for our family, and for all humanity.

Joshua: He Speaks, We Move - Week 12 - Choose This Day Whom You’ll Serve

July 23, 2023 • Brian Barr • Joshua 24:15

“Serve the Lord alone!” are the final instructions from Joshua to the Israelites. This week, Brian Barr finished our Joshua series with Joshua’s final words. Joshua instructs the people to remember the works God has done for them, to not compromise His commands, and calls them to a life-long commitment to God. Joshua’s instructions still hold true for our lives today! To ensure that our devotion to God is passed down to the next generation, we must be living lives that are whole-heartedly devoted to Him. “Choose today whom you will serve….but as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15 You can join our OneLife Sunday morning gatherings via livestream at 9am and 11am CST every Sunday morning. Joshua: He Speaks, We Move - Week 11 - The Faith of Caleb

July 16, 2023 • Brian Barr

What promise are you still waiting to come to fruition? And how long are you willing to hold onto that promise? This week, Brian Barr continued in our Joshua series. As the allotments for the tribes of Israel are established in the Promised Land, Caleb reminded Joshua of God’s promise for his portion of land. For 45 years, Caleb remained wholehearted to the Lord, believing that God would come through on His promise. God blesses those who do not waver in their faith and devotion to God. Let us be a people who, like Caleb, remain wholehearted to God and believe Him for an inheritance in this life and in the life to come! Joshua: He Speaks, We Move - Week 10 - The Longest Day

July 9, 2023 • Nate Miller • Joshua 10—11

Do you view God as being small and manageable or do you view God as being big, having both control over the universe and also capable of having a near, intimate relationship with you? This week, Nate Miller continued in our Joshua series with the story of the Isrealites’ victory over five Canaanite kings with a miraculous intervention from God. Joshua knew God to be a big God who listens to the prayers of his people and responds with supernatural power. The result is defeat of the inhabitants of the land and rest from war. While Joshua leads God’s people well, thousands of years later, we see Jesus enter the scene as the better Joshua who will defeat the ultimate enemies and deliver his people into peace and rest.
