The Power of Testimony | Pastor Ben Dixon

April 21, 2024 • Pastor Ben Dixon • Acts 1:8, Acts 4:20, John 4, John 9, John 11

From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible is chock-full of testimonies where real people encountered a real God and were completely transformed. Nothing has changed today. God is still doing what He has always done through the power of the Holy Spirit (Hebrews 13:8), and this is why we need to hear and share the testimonies of what God has done. When we hear about what God is doing it fuels our spiritual life and causes us to press into God in greater ways. This weekend, we have the privilege of hearing how God is moving in the lives of people from Northwest Church, and we pray that this will spark something in all of us to believe God for more.   Speaker: Pastor Ben Dixon Scripture: Acts 1:8, Acts 4:20, John 4, John 9, John 11 Series: Stand Alone Messages   Northwest Church - http://www.nwcfoursquare.org/http://www.nwcfoursquare.org/ On mission with Jesus to see the lost saved and disciples made.

A Church on Fire | Pastor Ben Dixon

February 25, 2024 • Pastor Ben Dixon • Acts 1:8, Acts 2:1–21

A common critique of the modern American church is that we are more internally focused than externally focused. When and where this criticism is true of God’s people, we will find a church that is slowly dying spiritually because much our mission is to reach a broken, hurting, and dying world. We must be a church that is on fire for Jesus. That means we are bold, unashamed, passionate, and focused on reaching people in every way that we possibly can. How do we move from learning to living, from casual to passionate, and from passive to engaged? In today’s message, we will look at how the church went from fearful to fired up with the mission of Christ, and our hope is that God would do the very same in us today! God Will Send The Rain

April 23, 2023 • Pastor Ben Dixon • 1 Kings 18:20–45

God is good and He wants to bless our lives more than we want Him to but He simply won’t bypass what’s most important, which is our full allegiance to Him. In 1 Kings 18 Pastor Ben Dixon teaches several principles that preceded God’s answer to a very difficult time in the lives of His people Israel. His work in them was more important than what He did for them and the same is still true for us today. Contend Until The End

April 16, 2023 • Pastor Ben Dixon • Luke 18:1–8, Luke 17:20–22, John 16:31–33, Psalm 27:13

How do we keep contending for His Kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven without giving up in the process? We find the answer to that question in Luke chapter 18 as Jesus tells His disciples a parable that illustrates the importance of persistent prayer. As you will see, the goal of persistent prayer is not merely that we pray a lot but rather it is the way we stay committed to and contending for the will of God to manifest in and through our lives. Good News Brings Great Joy

All of us love to hear and share good news. In Luke chapter 2, the Christmas story is referred to as good news and the result of hearing it brings great joy. The good news of Jesus is so much greater than anything else and it permanently produces joy both now and forevermore. Maybe we need to be reminded of the good news of Christmas and freshly receive the joy that responds to all that God has done in Christ.
