In this message, David is made king over Judah first and then the entire nation. He conquers the city of Jesus and makes it his capitol. This message examines the character of King Saul’s son, Jonathan. He is the man who would have been king had Saul not been disobedient and led by fear. We learn again that our character is revealed by our response to circumstances, and it should be undergirded by our faith in God.

God can do more with the “nobody" whose heart belongs to Him than He can with those who “appear” impressive.

And kings make all their subjects into servants.” You gotta serve somebody. Make sure it’s King Jesus.
