Have you ever tried to convince a conspiracy theorist that they are wrong? How far did you get? Kind of like smashing your own head into a brick wall isn't it? Job is fighting a similar battle with his friends who are trying to tell him that he is something he is not. This week we get to explore who we really are through Job's journey of expressing who he is and who he is not! I remember being young and idealistic. Everything was right/wrong and I had strong emotional feelings about almost everything. I burned bridges, created heartburn in others and now... regret in myself. Not necessarily because I was wrong in what I believed, but certainly in how I behaved. Enter Elihu: the last human speaker of the book of Job. He is opinionated, emotionally turned up, and feels a deep need to tell everyone how wrong they are.
