She is in a wheelchair, having lost part of her left leg to a 2 year infection. God carries her through. The Veterans Coming Home Center helps her with gas, clothing, food, and prayer.

Ashley, Derrick, and Ashley's mom all became homeless. Then her mom died in October 2023. They had been living in the Heritage House when all the pipes broke on all 19 floors of the building, and everyone got put out of the building.
