What's In Your House?
God has already given us all we need to succeed. We need to stop looking outside of the box at what we don't have and look at what we do have. Start using what God has given you, even if you think it's nothing. Once you start moving, He will start multiplying.
There are many messages about David & Goliath and the power of God, but have you ever applied this story to the giants in your life? We all have obstacles in our lives that seem impossible to conquer and overcome. What we forget is although we may not have the power ourselves, we can operate on God's power, like David did. He did not win that battle alone. As it says in verse 46, "This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head." God will conquer your battles. All you have to do is your part.
Fear is a widespread epidemic. It wants to isolate you and keep you focused on the worst possible outcome. Fear wants to distract you from your Father and all He has promised you. Fear is a lie. In this sermon, Pastor Jon references many places in scripture where God has promised us a life opposite of fear. Have you forgotten who's in your boat?
Ask & Receive
If we would just believe Luke 11:9, then everything would be fine! However, many people can’t because there was a time in their life when they asked God for something and didn’t see it come to pass. The answer to this dilemma lies in understanding the existence of the spiritual realm. Listen and discover how to receive what you've asked God for. This message will forever change the way you pray!
Ephesians 4:31-32 says- "Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ forgave you." In this scripture, Paul doesn't ask for your side of the story or give a timeline for forgiveness. He just says to get rid of all anger through forgiveness. To forgive is to cancel a debt someone owes you. A lot of times, it's a debt they are not capable of ever paying back anyway. Christ came and died for us. This canceled the debt we owed; therefore, we must have mercy and forgiveness for those who do us wrong. Forgiveness is a choice. It is not done based on your feelings.
The Great Defender
There will always be people who don't like you or don't think you are good enough. They will do whatever they can to keep you from your God-given destiny. Jesus Christ is our defender, and we must learn to be still and let Him fight our battles in order to receive the promotion we deserve.
From Dejection to Resurrection
Depression is a prison where you are both the suffering prisoner and the cruel jailer. It’s like being trapped in a really bad thunderstorm. You don’t know when it’s going to hit, you never know how long it’s going to last, and when it finally passes, you’re left to survey the damages and pick up the pieces. Pastor Jon spent the greater part of 10 years in the sludge of depression, and he understands the darkness that it brings. This is his story of how he went from dejection to resurrection.
There are many types of love in the world, but only ONE LOVE that matters. If we loved with agape love, the kind of love that God loves with, how different would this world be? How different would our communities be, our neighborhoods? Agape love is not possible for humanity without God. It is a choice we make to give up ourselves and let God work through us.
