Samiya Barnett
Samiya Barnett, a rising Junior at Booker T. Washington Magnet High School, has been selected to be an illustrator for the Children's Book Project. Samiya has 2 book illustrations under her belt: "No It's Not You", and "You Are Great and Truthful Reaching Back" (one of the illustrators). She is also one of 12 artists who recently painted the mural for the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Alexis Day
Alexis Day is a member of Rho Kappa National Honor Society; National French Honors Society; National Art Honors Society and National Honors Society Capstone Scholarship 2021. She has been awarded the HES Freshman Academic award Tutweiler Scholarship and the University of Alabama Leadership and Achievement Scholarship!
