Mark W.Koch found himself at the top of the entertainment world when Lost In Space (1998), a movie he produced knocked Titanic out of the top spot and became the number 1 movie in the country. Not long after his next movie, Black Dog (starring Patrick Swayze) moved into the Top 5 movies, giving him two movies at the top of the charts in the same week! He had it all. Houses, Cars, Fame, Recognition...and he had the ego to match it all. That's when his family began to fall apart...and the Holy Spirit stepped in. Mark will share his amazing testimony of coming to Christ, and then following the lead of the Holy Spirit to dedicate The First Hour of every day to Jesus through reading the Bible, praying, and going deeper in his relationship with the Lord. He is a preacher at Franklin Church of Christ and has served in that role for 14 years. He has almost 30 years experience in ministry. We discuss his conversion to Christ and his childhood growing up in Maui, Hawaii. Which naturally leads into a discussion of the devastating wildfires that swept through Maui in August 2023. Mitch will give some accounts of what took place and ways that people can still help now that the event is no longer in the news.
