Consecration and Your First Love // Episode 6 // February 11th, 2024

February 11, 2024 • Pastor Chris McGregor • Revelation 2:1–7

Like any relationship, we have to guard against complacency. Relationships don’t shrivel overnight; it is a slow withdrawal that destroys relationships over months and years.  In our relationship with God, we also must guard our hearts. Complacency and cynicism can destroy the vibrancy of our faith. Distractions are another avenue.  As we continue our series on Consecration, we invite you to watch the video, or listen to the podcast as you drive, sip on your coffee, or at the gym. We hope this message helps to stoke the fires of your faith this week.

Consecration and The Moravians // Episode 5 // February 4th, 2024

February 4, 2024 • Pastor Chris McGregor • John 1:50–51

It is easy for us to to get discouraged in our spiritual life. Whether personally or as a part of an imperfect community, we lament the slow progress, frustrations, and trials of everyday life. It is in times like these that we need to anchor our hope in God’s activity around us. When we remember what God did for his people in the Word of God, or in contemporary examples, our perspective and our hearts are elevated. This past Sunday, we learned about the incredible 24-7 prayer that lasted 100 years through the Moravians. Their faithfulness and consecration was used by God in phenomenal ways that continues three hundred years later.

Is Consecration Worth It? // Episode 4 // January 28th

Smashing Idols // Episode 3 // January 21st, 2024

January 21, 2024 • Pastor Chris McGregor • 2 Chronicles 34, 2 Chronicles 35:1–19

This past Sunday was week three of our Consecration teaching series. In a world that is shifting rapidly, we are looking at what it would look like to fully devote ourselves for the purposes of God.   King Josiah is a stellar example of a man who lived amidst a culture of great compromise. We can learn a lot from his courage and tenacity as we swam against his culture to lead his nation back o God.

Consecrated Priests // Episode 2 // January 14th, 2024

January 14, 2024 • Pastor Chris McGregor • 1 Peter 2:9–10, Exodus 29

Our identity matters much more than we think.  Throughout the Bible, God always reminds his children who they are before he asks them to do anything. This is true of the Genesis creation story, as well as our teaching text in 1 Peter 2 from Sunday. On Sunday, we were reminded that we are God’s prized possession, redeemed with the life of Jesus. Because of that, we get the distinct privilege of representing God in our city.  We are halfway through our twenty-one days of prayer and fasting. Keep going, citYzens!

Consecration Before Movement // Episode 1 // January 7th, 2024

January 7, 2024 • Pastor Chris McGregor • Joshua 3:1–8

On Sunday, we kicked off 2024 with a brand new teaching series called, “Consecration”.  Consecration is about fully devoting ourselves to God and Pastor Chris shared this great message from Joshua 3.  As we begin a new year with lots of uncertainty, we encourage you to trust God who is already ahead of us.  We are in the early days of our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting. Are you joining us? Today's message from Pastor Chris is about the transition from one place to another. Before Israel stepped into the Promised Land, they were told to consecrate themselves before God moved on their behalf. When we are moving from one year to another, or sensing God moving us, we are to prepare ourselves spiritually as well as every other way for the new season coming.
