In Sunday's sermon titled "A Passionate Church," drawn from Acts 11:19-30, we explored the essence of a thriving and vibrant church community that is focused on displaying God’s glory in the city. Emphasizing purpose-driven/mission driven church membership, we delved into the importance of recognizing God's grace at work, embodying the qualities of good people, and being filled with the Holy Spirit.

We discussed the significance of encouraging one another, living by faith, and identifying and training new leaders. Additionally, we highlighted the value of learning and teaching the Bible, maintaining long-term commitment to serve within the local church, and the importance of financial giving.

This sermon called on us to cultivate a passionate and devoted church family that reflects the love and purpose of Christ in every aspect of our lives.

How to suffer wisely and well? 1. Suffering is UNAVOIDABLE. Welcome it as a friend. 2. Suffering brings MATURITY. Don’t let it go to waste. 3. Suffering needs WISDOM. Ask God Confidently. He promises to give it generously. When life’s storm comes, let us deepen our trust in Him as we let perseverance finish its work. The One Thing That Controls Everything

How Should Christians React to The Olympic Controversy?

There was some controversy during the opening ceremonies of the Olympics, and many Christians took offense. Many took to social media to voice their displeasure, while others were silent. How should followers of Jesus react in situations like this? Using Leonardo DaVinci’s “The Last Supper” in conjunction with this controversy, Pastor Chris guided us through not just how to think, but how to act when others intentionally or unintentionally marginalize our faith.
