2 Peter Chapter 1 Part 2

Peter is a different man, different that when he was when he served as a disciple during your shoeless earthly ministry, what changed him, he witness the resurrection, he spoke to the resurrected Lord. And he also was a recipient of that Holy Spirit. Therefore being filled and in dwelt with the Holy Spirit, knowing the resurrected Savior, and remembering now with a different mindset, something that he had witness, all of these things caused him to be very different.

Make no mistake about it. The God of Scripture is a God of vengeance. What does that mean? Simply that God will judge sin. The cross is a great example of that, where God's judgment fell upon Messiah, where he took the sins of the world upon himself. And the cross shows how serious God is in judgment. But there's good news, if you accept Messiah and His death upon that tree.

Never doubt God. The Bible says very clearly, God cannot lie. Therefore, one who is wise, a true believer is going to want to base his or her life upon the word of God. So again, never doubt God. I do not know why so many people do not believe what God has said, for example, and First John chapter five and verse 13. John writes down these words, he says, I've written to you, that you will believe in the name of the Son of God, believing in the name, knowing his identity, who Messiah is, and what he has done, gone to that cross, that He has been raised from the dead victoriously so that you might believe in the name of the Son of God, and through believing that you will know here that, that you will know that you have eternal life.

Our God is a God of promise. And one of the things that he promises is to judge this world. Now, most people hear that, and they assume that this is a bad thing. But everything that God does is good. And also what God does, he does so to bless His people. So you might be saying, How is God's judgement of this world a good thing for me? Well, if you belong to him through that new covenant through the Gospel, the God's judgment is going to have a wonderful outcome in his creation.
