The Way of Christ: Confession

2 Chronicles 7:13-14

A humble assessment of our behavior should lead to confessing our sins to God.

God has promised to forgive and to cleanse those who confess their sins. 1 John 1:9

Confession is both vertical and horizontal.

James 5:16, 1 Samuel 12:3

Two of the reasons for confessing sins to each other are accountability and encouragement.

Confession leads to forgiveness and forgiveness opens the door to blessings. Psalms 32:1-7, Acts 3:19-20

Confession is both individual and corporate.

Is unconfessed sin holding you captive?
