We are nearing the end of our verse-by-verse study of the book of Revelation. This week in Revelation 22:1-5, John has a deeper glimpse into the new Jerusalem. John gives us insights into the river of life that flows from Jesus’s throne. He also shows us a tree of life that exists in the middle of the river, that is able to give life to the nations.
The curse of sin is forever gone. People will be serving Jesus in heaven. We’ll be able to see God, face-to-face, in a personal relationship with him forever. His name will be on our foreheads, thus showing our true identity is found only in him. There will be no night there, for Jesus will be our light. And we will reign and rule with Jesus forever and ever.
It’s just astounding to think about! Again, English words don’t do it justice. I hope you will come away with a glorious hope for what’s awaiting those of us who believe in Jesus.
