Forward in Faith & Love

October 9, 2016 • Travis Johnson

7 THINGS I'VE LEARNED WHILE LEADING LIFE POINTE CHURCH: 1. The Gospel transforms lives. 2. Love is a more powerful force than hate, need, or pain. 3. When things don't go as planned, keep your head and trust God because you can outlast your setbacks. 4. People will disappoint. You will disappoint. Make room for that. If you do, you will have a wealth of relationships. 5. The church that reaches people is a robust Gospel faithful church. 6. Jesus loves South Florida. 7. The unfolding of the Gospel story in South Florida remains an unfinished book.

LPC Is LOVE - Full Message - Travis Johnson's Resignation

October 2, 2016 • Travis Johnson

Watch the full message Pastor Travis Johnson shared on the day he resigned as Lead Pastor of Life Pointe Church after 13 years of faithful, productive ministry to be Lead Pastor of Pathway Church in Mobile, AL. This message was delivered three times at 9, 10:30 & noon to the Life Pointe Church family. In the message to the church, Pastor Travis challenged the church with bedrock verses about LOVE. He communicated that love informs and guides our lives. While our view of love has been warped by experiences and sin, God's love is pure. He went on to communicate that these passages have informed the identity of believers' lives for centuries. They've also informed the DNA of Life Pointe Church since day one. He communicated that the next pastor would be competent and hopeful. He challenged the church to continue to have the highest view of the Scriptures, to love recklessly, and to double down on giving, serving, and attending church. He stated that while God has been extremely gracious over the past 13 years, the very best days of the Life Pointe Church are just ahead. Within the full message, Pastor Travis also recognizes two couples who have deeply impacted our city, distributes Communion to our elders and church, and gives an invitation to follow Christ. http://subsplash.com/lpcis/v/cfe6ab2 #lpcis #homesteadfl #miami
