Love Worth Finding Ministries is pleased to present the fifth installment of an eight-part series titled “Voices of Christmas.” Today we meet “Anna the Prophetess.” Scripture tells us that she was very old. Scholars differ on whether the passage in Luke 2 suggests she is 84 years old or that she has been a widow for 84 years, making her about 105. Whatever her age, she is likely still highly energetic in mind and body, since scripture also tells us that the tribe of Asher, Anna’s tribe, enjoyed vigor and longevity. Come with us as we imagine what Anna might have experienced when Jesus was 40 days old and was presented to Simeon the Priest at the Temple with an offering of turtle doves.
