Crime & Punishment

As Christians, how do we view the concept of crime and punishment through a biblical lens? Today we discuss the importance of loving enemies, the divine mandate for governments to protect the innocent and punish the guilty, and the principle of making punishment fit the crime. We will also address the issue of racial injustice in the criminal justice system and be challenged as believers to reflect on biblical principles while working toward equality for all people.

Gender & Sexuality

Today’s message centers on the importance of adhering to biblical convictions regarding gender, sexuality, and marriage. The Bible is clear on these topics and we are encouraged to have compassion toward individuals struggling with gender dysphoria. We are also challenged to be outspoken regarding such issues in public discourse. Believers are encouraged to stay true to biblical principles and trust in God's wisdom rather than relying on personal thoughts and emotions.

Abortion

There has been a renewed intensity in the abortion debate following the overturning of Roe v. Wade in 2022. How should we, as believers, respond? Today’s message centers on the biblical teaching that God creates and values human life from conception. As believers, we will be challenged to recognize our own sin and seek God’s guidance in response to his word. We will also be challenged to engage with the foster care and adoption systems to find ways to share God’s love with those most affected by this debate.

Immigration

We will discuss the importance of treating immigrants justly and fairly, drawing on examples from the Old Testament and the concept of sojourners and foreigners. We will also explore the role of Christianity in shaping the idea of welcoming immigrants and delve into the responsibilities of governments and churches towards immigration.

Government

We are encouraged to evaluate issues and political candidates through a Godly perspective, drawing from biblical principles such as the glory of God, God's dominion over the world, and the supremacy of Christ. We are also reminded of the necessity of the Holy Spirit in guiding believers into all truth and the universality of the Gospel.
