1. Have you ever spent time playing with Google Maps? What have you found when zooming in and out? What about zooming in and out to examine your own life?

2. Read Matthew 14:1-14 NLT and discuss; Why did Jesus go to a “remote place”? How can we begin to allow for the painful parts of our lives to have greater meaning if we were to live out the purpose God has for us? What are areas of pain right now that we can ask God to show His power through?

3. Read Matthew 14:15-21 NLT and discuss; How can God use the “remote places” in our lives to bring about greater purpose, destiny, and miracles? What breakdowns in our lives could God use to create breakthroughs?

4. Read Matthew 14:22-36 NLT and discuss; The scriptures here state that Jesus came walking on the water at 3 AM. In some of our darkest seasons, we may not see our miracles till after midnight. Share about a time when this has been true for you. How does this give you hope in your current situation?
