December 17, 2023 • Pastor Richie Box • Nehemiah 13:25–26
The Book of Nehemiah ends with him dealing with the issue of a lack of space between the men of Israel and foreign women.
Many of them married pagan women, which affected their home, their worship and future generations.
The people of God have a distinct language they speak. Are you fluent?
Nehemiah 13:25 So I contended with them and cursed them, struck some of them and pulled out their hair, and made them swear by God, saying, “You shall not give your daughters as wives to their sons, nor take their daughters for your sons or yourselves. 26 Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things?
LIT Part 2—Priorities
December 10, 2023 • Pastor Richie Box
Nehemiah has dealt with a serious compromise in the priesthood and in the Temple. But he’s not done yet. The House of God is being neglected because the people have lost their sense of the Main thing. We must constantly course-correct to be sure our priorities are in line with Gods. This week we’ll continue to learn how to do that. Consider this an early New Years resolution challenge!
Keeping The Fire Lit
December 3, 2023 • Pastor Richie Box • Nehemiah 13:28
General William Booth, founder of the Salvation Army, said to a group of new officers, “I want you young men always to bear in mind that it is the nature of fire to go out; you must keep it stirred and fed, and the ashes removed.” After Nehemiah was gone from Jerusalem, for a short time, he returns to find the people spiritually dull because of compromise. Watch out, the same can happen to us! Join us as we unpack Nehemiah 13 and learn now keep the fire lit!

Bring Up the Word of God
November 19, 2023 • Pastor Richie Box • Nehemiah 8:1
J. Edwin Orr defined revival as: “The Spirit of God working through the Word of God, in the lives of the people of God.” This chapter is a great example of the Word of God working.
There is no true, lasting revival in the church or in our hearts individually without a lifting up of the Word of God. In chapter 8 of Nehemiah, the Word of God is brought front and center in the midst of the people. Want revival in your life? Revival is possible when we lift up the treasure of the Bible and follow completely His commands.

Shut the Door on Distractions
November 5, 2023 • Pastor Richie Box • Nehemiah 6:1–2
We are the most distracted people of all time. Technology makes life easier and complicated. You have been called and equipped to do something special for God. Here’s todays challenge, if we don’t stay focused, we’ll find ourselves distracted from our purpose and living without margin (the gap between where I am and burnout). Let’s shut the door on distractions.
The Call to Generous Living pt. 3

We love formulas. They help keep up on track. New Testament generosity is not a formula though there are some tendencies we can apply. It’s from the heart and there should be preparation or positioning of our resources. Think of the farmer who stores up seed, for the time of planting, in anticipation of a harvest, that will be a blessing to himself and to others.
The Call to Generous Living Pt.. 2
October 1, 2023 • Pastor Richie Box • 1 Chronicles 29:13
It’s much easier to live a generous life when we remember that all we have is from God and He owns it all. He is our source.
That includes our time, talent and treasure. We're simply stewarding His resources. Let’s learn how to be better managers of what’s His!

Money problems are rarely only money problems. We often think if we just had more, everything would be good!!?!? If we can’t be good stewards and glorify God with little, we won’t with more.
Nehemiah was a great leader and a giver. Let's look at his example and at what the New Testament has to say about living a generous life like Nehemiah.
The Enemy Within
September 17, 2023 • Pastor Richie Box
The work on the wall stops because of strife among God’s people.
If the enemy can’t stop the work from without, He will try from within.
When God’s people fight one another they are neither fighting the real enemy nor getting God’s work done.
Nehemiah responds directly, with truth and generosity.
Hard Places and Hard Faces
September 3, 2023 • Pastor Richie Box
If we attempt anything for God, we can expect opposition. It comes from many angles. Expect it.
Advancement invites opposition.
There will always be critics. The loudest boos come from the cheapest seats!
Nehemiah shows us how to respond to “Hard Places and Hard Faces".
Nehemiah 4:2. Can they bring the stones back to life from those heaps of rubble—burned as they are?”
