The Book of Nehemiah ends with him dealing with the issue of a lack of space between the men of Israel and foreign women.

Many of them married pagan women, which affected their home, their worship and future generations.

The people of God have a distinct language they speak. Are you fluent?

Nehemiah 13:25 So I contended with them and cursed them, struck some of them and pulled out their hair, and made them swear by God, saying, “You shall not give your daughters as wives to their sons, nor take their daughters for your sons or yourselves. 26 Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things?

The House of God is being neglected because the people have lost their sense of the Main thing. We must constantly course-correct to be sure our priorities are in line with Gods. General William Booth, founder of the Salvation Army, said to a group of new officers, “I want you young men always to bear in mind that it is the nature of fire to go out; you must keep it stirred and fed, and the ashes removed.” After Nehemiah was gone from Jerusalem, for a short time, he returns to find the people spiritually dull because of compromise. Watch out, the same can happen to us! Join us as we unpack Nehemiah 13 and learn now keep the fire lit!
