Faith Through The Storm

We all go through storms in our lives. Big ones, smaller ones, ones that we can see coming, and others that hit us totally unexpectedly. Where is our faith when we are in the middle of the storm? How do we navigate those tough times when we don’t have all the answers? Faith in God is the one thing that will always get us through.

Faith comes by hearing the word, and in order for faith to continue, we must continue to hear the word. Hearing the word is an exercise that never ends. The more we hear the word, the stronger our faith becomes, and the stronger our faith becomes, the more we grow.
How Faith Comes

Faith is a way of life for the believer! We walk by faith and not by sight, and we overcome every challenge we face by using our faith. God gives us faith and expects us to use it and grow stronger in faith. How does our faith grow stronger? By feeding it on the word of God. Faith comes by hearing the word of God. Continuing to hear the word of God builds our faith to receive all of God's promises.
Growing Great Faith

God gave us faith and expects us to grow it and keep it strong. We are either increasing our faith or decreasing it. It is up to us to feed on things that will strengthen and fortify our faith. Jesus taught His disciples to grow their faith and be ready to use it at all times. When the storms of life come against us, it is not the time to allow fear to fill us, but instead, stand up and shout at the storm, "Peace Be Still!" Faith is a choice. We choose to use our faith regardless of what we feel or see.

Faith is one of the most important subjects of the Bible and, at the same time, one of the most misunderstood. Without it, we cannot please God, and if our faith is not strong, we will not accomplish what God wants us to. The Bible says that we walk and live by faith, not by sight or what our eyes see. It is necessary that we continue to review, renew and dig deeper on the subject of faith so that we are constantly growing.
What Kind of Church Are We?

What really defines us as a church? Is it all about community or is there something deeper? What is Jesus, the Head of the Church, requiring of local Pastors and churches in the days that we are living in? Is it enough to hear a "feel good" message and learn to be loving and tolerant? The line has been drawn between those churches that are passionately pursuing Jesus and those that are compromising and bowing down to the current culture and this society. We are a church of God's Word, God's Spirit, and Faith! Bold and unapologetic.
